Sponsorship for the City of Children Exhibitions

Prints

My series, The City of Children, will be featured in two solo exhibitions. The first will be opening on November 6, 2009, at the RayKo Photo Center in San Francisco, and the second will be opening at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA on November 12, 2009.

Six 30 x 40 and twenty-nine 20 x 24 photographs need to be printed, mounted, framed, and shipped to the east and west coasts by November 1, 2009. Consequently, I am offering an opportunity to friends and collectors to support me by becoming a sponsor, and, in return, you will receive a print of your choice.

Five sponsorship units are available:
$50 for an 8 x 10 print valued at $100,
$150 for an 11 x 14 print valued at $400,
$300 for a 16 x 20 print valued at $600,
$500 for a 20 x 24 print valued at $800,
$1200 for a 30 x 40 print valued at $2000.

There is no limit to the number of units that a sponsor may order. Sponsors are requested to respond with full payment by November 1, 2009. If you wish to send a check, please make it payable to Monika Merva, and return it with the completed Sponsorship Response Form to the address indicated by the deadline of November 1, 2009.

SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS

For each sponsorship the sponsor will receive a signed and editioned photograph by Monika Merva valued at the stated price. Sponsors will receive recognition for their support at the exhibitions.

PRINT SELECTION PROCESS

A. Go to http://monikamerva.com to view the images in the portfolio

Sponsors may select artwork using a ranking system. Choose your top three favorites, and include all information in the reply e-mail. I, in turn, will refer to my records as to which photographs are available. Please disregard the print size on the website. It is not a guide to this special offer. Photographs will be delivered or shipped to the sponsor two to four weeks after payment is received.

B. Select in person

Sponsors may view prints in person and make a selection. Payment must be made in full at that time. The deadline for viewing work is November 1, 2009.

C. Selection of large-scale artworks from the exhibitions

Sponsors may choose large-scale work from a limited group of photographs from The City of Children series. If you are interested in selecting an image that is not from The City of Children, we must discuss the additional printing and mounting costs. Please contact me if you have any questions.
